    Hodag question

Has anyone here mounted a Hodag on a 40mm internal width rim? I know this isn't the ideal rim width, but I'm just wondering if anyone has done it.

If you have, what was the resulting tire width and how did the profile look?

    Thanks.

That's on a Ryde Trace 42. Internal width is 42mm... Will the 1mm each side make any difference? I think the width is around 92mm if my memory is correct.

1mm shouldn't be enough to matter. How do you like the setup?

    Thanks!

I run mine on 44.5 internal rims. Profile is round. Ideal pressure range is ~7-9 up front and 8-10 out back.

IIRC mine measure 88mm at casing's widest point.

I like it. Closer to traditional widths in handling and still preserving most of the fatbike characters.

i run hodags on duroc 40s. The rounder profile is nice for cornering.

What is the rule of thumb when it comes to rim widths and tire widths?

Iím on i40 scrapers and they look overtired. Seem to perform fine but canít help but wonder about a wider rim. May try i50. One thing is for sure - Hodags roll really well
