New question here. Help with 190mm X 15mm thru axle. What size are these threads?

Can anyone tell me what threads the shorter axle has in these pictures?

I need a 190mm thru axle with the threads of the shorter axle.

I didn't realize there were different thread sizes on these axles.

    Thanks for the help.

You're looking for something that doesn't exist as far as I know. A 197x12 thru axle should be what you need. What frame is this for?

Best to loom up the manufacturer of the axle and drop out.

Not possible to know thread diameter and pitch from a picture. But looks like m12x1.75, LOOKS LIKE judging by your 197 fat bike rear requirement.

The receiver that will thread onto the shorter axle will not thread onto the longer one.

These threads have to be different.

Ya i had to zoom in to get a good look, changed what i said. You need to know manufacturer and such to know for sure unless you have a caliper to measure diameter and pitch

The fork is from a Mongoose Argus Comp bike. Called Pacific Cycle and could not get any help at all from them.

Well forks are not 190 so a bit confused as to what exactly your trying to do. Is the threads in the rear drop out the same?

I think the threads are 15 x 1.25 on the shorter axle.

So if I ordered this course threaded Paul axle it would more than likely be the same as the top axle in my pictures?

You need to confirm thread diameter and pitch otherwise your just wasting money

And does the shorter axle fit your rear (except being too short)? Slides in hub correctly and threads into the dropout?

Reason i ask is that if both those axles are for 15mm thru axle hubs, the threads on the shorter axle are not 15mm diameter. They are smaller, can see that in the picture.

Us a ruler and check the diamter at the very least.

And dont order that, the longer formula axle you have pictured says the thread specifications right in your second picture.

    M15x1.5

M (metric in mm) 15 mm

    Pitch= p 1.5

Same exact thing your trying to order which you know is wrong already.

Using my calipers on the image for diameters and counting threads in comparison to the upper, the lower thread appears to be M13x2.0
