half the fat i want to be

Fun. Very tough to pedal, but better than when I ran the fat front on my 29er. Def. need to get a full fatty. But, this is better than nothing.

Till you do you might want to get a better rear tread. I love Voodoos and know they run pretty tight in the stays but maybe you can go more paddle tread like a Smoke. Should fit.

OR a set of dh Nokian Gazzalodi 26 x 3.0 (with rims, rotors and cassette) on ebay for $50 right now if you can make them fit. Heavy though 1700g a tire. Note: they are 26" and deflated but when inflated are a lot bigger. Google some images to see.

    Yes that is tight.

If you go a 26" rear it might fit behind the tight section of your stays and open a little room for a 3.0 26". You Hoodoo should have 425mm stays.

Nokian Gazzaloddi 3.0 Tread width: 71.6mm, Axle to tallest tread: 356mm
Nokian Gazzaloddi Jr. 2.6 Tread width: 62.6mm, Axle to tallest tread: 346mm
Nokian NBX DH 2.5 Tread width: 60.5mm , Axle to tallest tread: 345mm
(copied from mtbtires.com with plenty more details of each tire and there are smaller choices)
