    Frameset + Bluto combos

So which manufacturers or retailers are offering frame and suspension fork combos? The only one I can find so far is Rocky Mountain. Any others?

I did see Bikesdirect. That would be a good option except that they seem difficult to get to Canada.

I don't see a frame-only option for Trek, and Specialized only offers a frame + rigid fork unless I'm missing something.

Why not just get your frame of choice and buy a Bluto? Although I see what you are saying - there is only one production fat bike fork (unless you count the new Chinese fork), why not have a fram+fork combo? I bought a frame that was designed for this fork (Salsa Bucksaw) and had to buy the fork separately. I did find a good deal on the fork but the BikesDirect option only ads $300 where mine cost $460.

Just figured it might save a few bucks to get the frame + fork + headset all together.

Borealis offers a frame/fork combo for the Echo. Also, realize that all Bluto forks are not the same. The OEM forks that show up on the lower end bikes have different internals.

Actually all the Bluto forks are the same except the Borealis ones - they are putting in an RCT3 damper. There are no differences in the Bluto unless you get a pimped out Borealis one or put the upgraded damper in yourself.

Good info, Destr0. I happen to have owned both, thus my perception. I had a Minnesota 3.0 w/a Bluto and now ride a Borealis Echo. Thanks for the info.

If you live within driving distance of the border, ordering from bikesdirect is doable. From Ottawa, its about an hour to a US border town where a UPS store does pretty good business receiving packages for Canadians... Pick up there and declare (or not) at the border on the way back.

You might have to go through the thread.
I can tell you mine fits 80mm rim/ snowshoe xl easily.
I since switched to 65mm and 1x10 and there is about 4mm tire clearance with the chain

I love my Mayor with the BLUTO. RSD is just working on the site. If you want one of their bikes. Try the factory or one of the shops that carry them. I'm sure there's still one around.
