First ride on DIY studded tires

Over a year ago I studded the original pair of Endomorphs that came with my Wildfire, using Ward's method with the sheet metal screws. Sadly, that winter it was warm and I never saw any ice. This weekend SE Michigan trails are pretty icy, so I put on the spare wheelset with the studded tires and rode a nearby trail. There was a light amount of snow last night, so most of the ice was covered just enough that I know would raise a typical studded tire off the ice enough to make them slip. Not so with these. I had solid traction going up and down a small hill that was glare ice. Best studded tires I've ever used. Thanks Ward!

Note the front wheel is a 47MM trials rim. The front worked fine despite the extra curvature from the smaller rim.

I'm unable to find Ward's post, other than this one:

Drill the holes, install the #6's x 3/8" screws, and put small strips of duct tape over them
