I've got a Felt DD70. Basically same frame with different components.

The freewheel is a POS and it stripped out in approximatley 500 miles. I replaced the wheels with a set of I9 wheels and have been happy.

Recently the bottom bracket started creaking and developed quite a bit of play. I wanted to install the rwc bearing upgrade in the race face type x bottom bracket. Upon removal of the non drive side bearing cup it was determined that the threads are stripped in the frame. The bike is less than a year old, always stored indoors. There was no corrosion on the threads or bearing cup. Looked like a bearing cup with a defective thread was forced into the frame. Felt thinks I should pay $600 for a crash frame replacement.

FYI, I was on the Felt site today and saw their fat bikes are on sale. The DD10 is 2k.

The local bike shop is a Felt dealer and I know of 3 Felt fat bikes with bad rear hubs (Edster75 included).
This review even mentioned "generic wheels with so-so hubs."

So far I haven't had any problems with my Felt DD70.
The Felt website now has the DD10 on sale for $1999.00 so it should be about 1500 given the exchange rate.

Another data point - I have a DD30 and rode it for 6 months with no freewheel troubles (before switching to a DT Swiss wheelset)

    Dd70

Here's mine. bought earlier this year... seen sand but no snow as yet. Its fun to ride.. was a whim purchase but I was taken with other peoples experiences, so here we are!
I like the xc fit and it has the refinements my other 26ers dont have.. tapered head tube, internal routing and short stem. Still has a triple though not surprising for the price really
Ive seen a very few fatbikes about locally. I did a search for a fatbike club and found one in east lothian
scotland 350 miles away! They have open access to the moorland up there lucky fellas.

Its a medium not much standover 5'8 I,m on the cusp between a small and medium frame

I'm very happy with my DD30. My only gripe is the difficulty of converting them to tubeless.
