    Fatpacking on a Fatback

Here are a few shots of a great trip just completed on Cape Constantine this past weekend near Dillingham AK. We slung the bikes out by helicopter to start the trip. Great fun and friends.

Thanks Eric. As always, the Revelate bags performed flawlessly, shedding the driving rain.
Surprisingly, all four bikes fit inside a 170 for the return trip. The four of us flew back in a 185, stopping to pick up a few items left behind, like the oosik and the mini kegs.

Most likely, but if not, send me a message and I'll get it to Eric.

That was just sea foam. Lot's of it. It looked like winter that day.

    Helicopter deployment??? Sweet!!!

Oh, sorry to hear about the Dutch beer though, but better than no beer I suppose.
Don’t frail and blow if you’re going to Braille and Flow.

    It's one of the rider's heli-a Robinson 44.

No worries on the beer. I had that covered. One of the finest beers on the planet right there.

    Amazing. Beautiful.

Makes us all want to try something like that. I'll start my training for those portions of the trip involving the Sockeye Red. Yep, lots of training!

    Thanks for inspiring us.

    Sounds cool!

    Thirsty,

That looks like a great trip and can't wait to see more. Hope all is going well at the shop.

Come on down to Homer for a fun beach ride that doesn't involve aircraft!

And I don't take credit for the term Fatpacking. I saw it in another post and thought it was the perfect term for what folks are doing with a Fatbike.

And the bar keeps getting raised on what/where you can take your fatbike. Where does it end?

No worries Pat. We'll make it happen one of these days. Hopefully sooner than later.

    Homer-Labor Day

    Thirsty,

Bring a group down this Labor Day weekend for our casual beach ride to Anchor Pt and back, with a camp out thrown in the middle.

No R-44's or other aircraft needed, just your thirst and a few marshmellows…

    Pat
