Fatboy SE 1x Low Q Factor Crank

Hi. What are my options for upgrading my fatboy SE crank and bottom bracket if needed to get a lower q factor and go 1x. I searched and couldn't find much. Thanks..

The lowest qf-cranks are from race face. Running a 1x could also meen that you can go for a 170 spesific crank. On my Borealis I run next cinch cranks with the chainring put on with the raceface logo turned in. Than you have clearance for 100mm rim and bud/Lou and decent chainline. The thing I don't know, is if the 170 will clear the CS on the Specialized.

This should help. You have a 100mm bottom bracket.

Fatboy SE 1x Low Q Factor Crank

I recently installed the Race Face Aeffect cinch spaced for a 170mm rear hub on my 190mm spaced lurch. Went with RF NW 28T "flipped" to keep a good chain line. Fit with plenty of room. Q factor went from 228mm to 205mm. Couldn't be happier with how it went!

This link above was helpful to find the crankset to use the same BB.

It looks like I wont need a new BB just the crank which is good news. The higher end Fatboys come with this Crank so it should definitely work. Thanks.

I swapped down to a 170 RF Next SL on both my FatBoy alloy and carbon frames. You can run a 32 tooth ring on there with plenty of clearance too.
