    FatBikes and Geocaching

OK, so admittedly Geocaching isn't a FatBike exclusive but the very "exploring" nature of FatBikes makes them a natural fit for this type of outdoor activity.

With that in mind, I took a friend of mine and our 10yr old sons out on a 3 hour, 6-mile adventure where we located 5 caches. We all had fun but the ride back was a little on the cool side.

It was good to get my son out on my wife's 26" bike to see how he handles it before I move him up from his current BMX bike.

I had the only FatBike on the ride so I didn't get to do any trailblazing like I usually would. Getting out with my son and friends was worth it though.

    Salsa...

That is cool, looks like you all had fun.
Have to ask, where are the helmets?? Gotta mention it, as one saved my life the other year...

Good point. I have gotten quite relaxed on the whole helmet wearing thing. We have them, just didn't bring them on this ride. I do need to get my son a new helmet as his old one is a touch small. Thanks for pointing that out Shark.
