    Cane Creek 40 Series.

Or the proper FSA headset. I use FSA headsets on all my bikes zero issues.

what headset is on it? how old is it? i have found cane creek 40 series to work great, easy to maintain and affordable. just last week I cleaned and regreased one of my 49s, bearing was still smooth.

i also cleaned and regreased a King. more steps involved with a King but if you aren't removing the cups it is not too bad.

i have no experience with Hope except for their hubs.

Hi thanks for the reply but I'm totally unimpressed with the FSA that came fitted to the Farley and the cane creek gets a poor review on chain reaction ???

I would just replace the bearings with some stainless steel ones from your local bike shop. It should cost about $30 and they will last forever.

The cups are heavily pitted too, I've bit the bullet and ordered a cane creek 110

Which Cane Creek model did you go with and did the one you ordered fit properly?
