    [email protected] You 9:ZERO:7 :angryface.jpg:

Don't get me wrong, I love my 9:ZERO:7, and it has treated me well the past few years. But the clyde in me has yearned for a more robust axle configuration, if only because I love that nice secure feeling a thru axle provides.

I have searched high and low for 9/10mm thru bolt options, but always come away with that emtpy handed (think A-cup ) feeling. Now I see that 9:ZERO:7 has answered my prayers with a 12TA and 15TA 190mm frame, but alas...my funds are tapped from a Banshee Prime build this summer.

I don't really need a 190mm rear end for a Clownshoe and Lou (hides in corner while gcappy tears the room up), but really do want a rock solid axle connection that only a thru axle can provide. Think they will make me a 170mm frame with the updated axle configs? Me thinks not!

I would have to sell my current 170mm 9:ZERO:7, and build an entire brand new bike, but then would lose the ability to run my favorite Snow White hubs. I cannot afford....credit card MUST stay in the wallet unless emergency.

9:ZERO:7, why do you have to be such a cruel temptress?

I did see they have a 170mm sliders frame coming, might have different axle configurations options for the sliders???

Even more cruel Jonshonda, I don't even run through axels on my 190. I only have it for the tire/rim clearance. I should put the conversion kit on but I am too lazy. Besides, I will be buying two new rear suspension frames next spring and I will make sure to get through axels on them!!!

Call White Industries, I think they can make you a new set of end caps so you can keep using those hubs.

I wasn't budgeting for a new fatbike build...so Banshee is still ok with me.

You can use thru-axles foo.....thru-bolt axles maybe!! I am excited for you to have full squish fatties...so you can stop complaining about all the other 4" FS fatties out there.

Good idea. Maybe I can just use the CK fun-bolts I have laying around. Those things are beefy.

They probably said that for spite after reading some of your posts!
    Hey, I don't complain about the 4"squishies. I just won't be happy until I get that 9-0-7, 4.8' on a Shoe.

That is why you gotta upgrade to 29er, you roll right over them like they aren't even there.

    Compared to what?

If they are close to my current 9:ZERO:7 I will love the bike. My FS is also over 6ft end to end, but really didn't feel much different than my Nimble 9 slammed all the way forward.

indeed they do and if the BB clearance is roughly 12.5" it would be quite stable @ speed yes?
