    Carver Popeye caliper mount question

    Hey,

Disclaimer: I have already sent Carver an email, but wanted to see if anybody here would be able to answer this sooner.

I just purchased a Carver Popeye fork and got it mounted on my bike.

They bill it as being a direct replacement for the Bluto, yet when I went to mount my brake caliper, both bolts bottomed out before tightening the caliper down.

My adapter is a standard Shimano 180 PM adapter and both bolts are standard 38 and 32mm. It looks like they are 4-5mm too long. Looking through Shimano's array of caliper bolts, I don't see anything that looks like it will work from Shimano.

Caliper placement on the rotor looks perfect, so I'm sure it's not the adapter that's the problem (not to mention it has worked on two other forks).

    Thanks.

A trip to the hardware store will solve your problem pretty quickly.
