Just picked up my first fatbike and I have a friend who sells Slipknot tire chains. Was wondering if anybody had experience with them for winter snow riding?
Don't you trust your friend's opinion? Here are some others: https://forums.mtbr.com/fat-bikes/anyone-running-slipnot-tire-chains-their-fat-bike-886900.html Could you summarize your findings for us all? The chain looks to be a regular wire-link with no sharp edges to bite the ice, though some road miles would flatten the top a bit. Maybe not great for pavement though. I'd want some nuts and bolts or something for more bite, or pronged plates like someone used to make. Kool-stop?
He just started selling them a few weeks ago, so his opinion hasn't played out through a season of use yet.
Thanks for the link, I tried the search feature but it didn't produce much.
