    Anyone running 5" on Whiskeys?

Considering a new carbon wheel build and want to run 5" year round. I do no snow riding, just dirt and sand but prefer the 5" tires. I know they are rated up to 5" tires, but I'm curious of real world use. I'd like to run JJ 4.8's on these as well as a mix of different size tires.

    Thanks

    It's a rim. A fat bike rim.
    It's made for tires....wide tires.
What more do you need to know?

    bang on

OP, what possible problem could you have running a 4.8 tire on a rim that's recommended up to 5 inch?

And good thing you started a new thread for this when there's already several existing Whisky rim threads.

So you opened this post just to make a cock response. I forgot that public forums weren't designed for sharing information.

I'm sure that if I posted in the Whiskey thread you referenced, some other guy would come on and complain that I resurrected a 6 month old thread.

    4.8 on a whisky

    Ebnash,
Works excellent, easiest combo I have ever set up tubeless.
nice round profile, typical Schwalbe quality, I will be buying more when they become more available!
