    addicted to the fat

had a great 55 mile ride on friday along the high peak trail (disused railway line) through derbyshire on my pugs

    been considering another bike build,

so just ordered a 9 zero 7 frame in ORANGE - (best colour I think)

and got some 47mm rims to hopefully work with it - will use my hubs from my current LM wheels

so might be selling a small pugs, pair of XC LM rims and a Mr whirly crankset, once I make the switch

gonna be a real light 9 zero 7 build hopefully - oh and gonna get me a snowpack fork too !

    Cant wait

For what it's worth, I went on a group ride of maybe two dozen people yesterday, bunch of strangers to me. There were three other fat bikes, and no teasing about it. I think people are slowly recognizing them as fun trail worthy machines any time of year.

I hit the singletrack on mine yesterday, in the Midlands, the pug on dry dusty trails was excellent. Managed to keep up with the group on the climbs but managed to lead them on the singletrack.

These bikes are great to ride and bring a whole different dimension to your riding. I do still like riding my Orange 5, you appreciate the 5 much better after a few miles on the pug. But also you appreciate the Pug after a few miles on my 5.

Off to the beach next week for some dune action
