    2017 Mukluk - 27.5/29" wheelset

Hey all, new member here. I've got a 2017 Carbon Mukluk with the stock 4.8" 45NRTH Dillinger 5's still on it. This is way too much tire for the Texas trails I'm trying to ride, and I'd like to switch to a larger diameter rim and thinner tire. Salsa's site says the frame and fork will take a 27.5 x 3.0-3.25" or 29 x 2.3-3.0" setup. Any suggestions on where to find these size rims with a big enough hub? Local bike shops in the area have a 2 hour line and a 4 week delay so I'm at the mercy of the internet this time around. Thanks.

The 2017 Mukluk will take bigger 27.5 tires than the 3.25 they list. The web page(salsa) used to have a larger size listed. I run 27.5x4 Maxxis FMF/FMR tires on 80mm rims with plenty of clearance on my 2017 Mukluk GX1.

The 2.7x4.0 tires that measure closer to 3.8 are very similar diameter to the stock "5.0" Dillingers that measure closer to 4.4. Point being if you go with a 27.5 x 3.2 tire the BB will become even lower. 29x3.0 would be my choice and I'm getting close to doing that soon for summer ridding.
