    2014 Farley wheelset upgrade

i think its time for a lighter wheelset upgrade.

i understand the front has 170mm spacing and the rear.

what i am uncertain is what will work with my current fork which is an OnOne Fatty fork.

my mechanic friend who set it up had to modify the caliper of sorts to make it compatible with the stock Rolling Daryl.

is there an "offset" measurement that i have to consider before i look for a wheelset replacement or is it just a straight forward search for a 135mm front and 150mm rear wheelset?

    any upgrade suggestions?

    thank you in advance.

170 mm rear? I don't think you have to worry about any off set.
:thumbsup:It doesn't matter what I ride as long as I ride it Rubber Side Down●~●.

Your mechanic is probably referring to the fork. Some early fat bike forks were spaced for a 135mm rear hub

i think that is what he was trying to tell me. i also got the OnOne fork from him.

since the tire clearances and hub spacing is dependent with the fork, would i be able to use a 150mm wheel along with compatible fork?

I believe your bike has a 135mm front hub and a 170 rear. Holy Rolling Darryls are 82mm wide.
If you're keeping the existing fork, you need a 135mm hub. You'd probably be better off swapping in a 150mm fork since that seems to be the standard they're sticking to.

Look for a set of My Other Brother Darryl rims. They're lighter and have killer tubeless. Better rim than the original Darryls.

They get laced centered like any other wheel. The only fat bikes that get offset laced are early Pugslies and Moonlanders and a few others like them.
Hope Pro4 and DT Swiss are decent hubs. If you keep the 135 fork, Bike Hub Store has a good front hub. Hell, their 150mm front is great too. I almost always use it unless someone wants their hubs to match.
