    mtb camp for summer?

    Hey y'all,
I am looking for my 6yr old son to learn from someone better than me. Summer is coming up, so I'm thinking a week-long camp where there are also some other kids shredding would be both fun and educational.

    Him riding:

So he can do drops of 1' or so, ride a skinny for 10-15 feet, gaps of about 3-3.5 feet, and can handle uphill switchbacks or downhill rockgardens

I'm looking for something a bit more challenging than what I'm finding for this age group-- most of what I find for 6-8 yrs are "learn to ride" kind of things.

What are some good skills camps for kids?

    Cheers,
    Ridwan

This place offers options near me during the summer (which isn't TOO far from you), but it's not a residential camp setting. It's a day camp.

Might work if you're willing to take a weeklong family vacation to the area. There's a hotel right on site (the resort owns the property the bike park is on).

Whistler does these. Everyone I know that puts their kids in them rave about how awesome they are.

    Thanks both!

I have emailed Whistler to see what there is -- it seems on one site they said DFX "isnt' on sale at this time" and at https://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/ex...ub.aspx?tc_1=2 they seem like it is. Will report back.

I know Woodward has something, but that's out of budget.

@harold A weeklong vacation was exactly what I was thinking! Maybe I work during the day, maybe I have some time with the Mrs. without the little one around!

Highland bike park in NH also has kids camps. I'm going there this summer to get my girls in the 5 day camp. Unfortunately the longer camp is for kids going into 3rd grade and older, while the younger camp is weekends only.
