    Kids contact point kit

This might interest the people here:

SDG is bringing out a kids kit, containing bar, grips, saddle and pedals.

    My thoughts:
    • + Kids and parents will love the bright colors and the color coordination
    • + The price ($150) is pretty good
    • + Saddle looks decent, pedals look great
    • +The thinner har and grips is super, it allows a good grip for small hands while still giving some cushion
    • - Disappointed in the handle bar:

-It has 15mm rise: most kids struggle to get the bars low enough, so a flat bar would be more useful than a riser bar
-8 degrees of back sweep: most kids struggle to get the reach short enough, a high backsweep brings the grips closer. Also, a higher sweep is more ergonomically correct and comfortable, especially when the bars are wide for the rider, as they will be for kids.

Be nice if they gave some specs on the saddle. Like width and weight namely. I've got an SDG on my sons hardtail that was a good find, on sale at Jenson. Ti rails. He says it's comfy. I know it's light.

Hoping this one is under 200 grams and is a good fit for kids.

This was announced back in April and I still haven’t seen the kit available anywhere. I was really interested in the pedals... We already have two SDG fly jr saddles, which I believe is the same one as in the kit. My boys prefer it over the stock Trek/Specialized saddles their bike came with. I think the weight is around 250g.

I use a Fly Jr for the kids road bike. But for mtb, the Tioga Dspyder is slightly more money but its almost 100g lighter.

I thought I remembered the bars being 650mm wide (25.5”).
