24" tire options: Hans Dampf, Minions, Rocket Rons?

Just picked up a used Ripcord for my kid's 8th birthday in a month or so and have started the upgrade process to get it to ~24 lbs.

Here's the build list so far:
    2016 Transition Ripcord (sky blue)
Islabikes Crest Mk3 wheelset (1180 grams taped!)
Rockshox Reba Team dual air 100mm QR 1 1/8" straight steerer
Trailcraft 140mm direct mount cranks w/ 26t chainring
FSA K-force seatpost (KS Lev DX dropper to go on later)
    FSA K-force handlebar
    Wren 40mm stem
    Shimano M395 brakes
    SRAM GX derailleur and shifter
    Sunrace 11-40 cassette
Purple Hope bits from her 20" bike (rotors, skewers, spacers). Should look great with the sky blue frame.

For tires, I would ideally get the Brood Maxtions but they are out of stock until end-March at least. The folding/tubeless ready versions of the Vee Tire Crown Gems (which she had on her 20" bike) also seem to be sold out everywhere.

I run Minion DHF/DHR II on my trail bike and like them a lot for Seattle area riding. They would be great in the wet as she takes weekly classes rain/shine. Just wondering if they might be a bit too draggy especially when we do longer rides in summer or eastern WA/OR.

Haven't ridden Hans Dampfs but reviews suggest they might roll a bit faster? Or should I consider a Hans Dampf F / Rocket Ron R combo to drop some weight?

Other option is DHF F / Rekon R. The 24" x 2.2" Rekon is supposed to become available although I can't find it or the 24" DHR II anywhere yet.

Did you weigh the wheels yourself - They seem very light

Yep I weighed them - weight was with no skewers. Trailcraft quotes 1240grams for their Crest Mk 3 wheelset so pretty similar.

    Samuel's are 1275g 32 hole - assuming yours are 24 hole then.

The hans Dampf actually measure 60mm (2.3622") on the casing and 61mm (2.4") on the tread when mounted to the crests.

Yep 24 hole with 14/17 gauge spokes. I ended up getting the Hans Dampf based on your NS clash build thread - I admit to being surprised they are true to size on a i23 rim!

Don't forget about the Minions. I have a friend whose son has a Ripcord and that's what he's running. Awesome setup. I ordered the Hans for my son's Trailcraft but it was a no-go. Way bigger than I thought they'd be compared to the stock 2.1 Rons. It looked like a great tire though, super beefy, but no clearance. The rear wouldn't fit at all, and the front would've rubbed occasionally.

The rocket Ron's work well and are a lot lighter than most other options.
