    20" Hotrock question

I am thinking to buy a used 20" Hotrock for my boy. I built a 16" for him, but he is outgrowing it. My question is, is the bottom bracket the same on the 20 as the 16 (that I can buy the same BB adapter and taperd BB. They are both like 2010 era. Thanks

Yes I think they both use the larger "American" bottom bracket like many BMX bikes use. With regards to the adapter, I think you may need to file down some of the interior metal within the BB shell to make it fit. it't not rocket science. But worth mentioning. Because it can be a pain.

It depends. Some do and some don't, even in the same model runs. I have a stack of BB and cranks for all kinds of kids bikes. They seem to use whatever is available and cheap at that moment. You will need to measure and check.
Making shit harder than it needs to be isn't awesome, it's just...harder.
