    Wreckoning w/ 30t oval x 9?

Anyone run with a TRS 9-44? Is there enough chain clearance with a 30t oval?

I'm running AB 30t oval with e13 9-44. In the short axis of the oval the chain is super close, probably touching. But with sag there is a gap. And when the chain is touching, there is no down force nor drag on the chain. No wear on the chainstay protector. Seems fine to me. A friend has the 28 oval with an 11 tooth. His clearance is similar or possibly tighter than mine. The chainring has more to do with the clearance than the cassette
    Losing just makes me faster.

Well, I might try your setup. I finally found a demo bike, and it came with a 30t (round) - 10, and it looked very, very close.

i have a 32t oval and 10 in the back, close on the low part of the ring but that is how evil designed it. i can say that it is kinda loud so far-louder than my insurgent seemed but i am not sure of that is due to the new eagle stuff.
