    Fox DPX2 on following?

Does anybody know if the new Fox DPX2 shock will fit on a following? It's available in 7.25 x 1.75...

I don't know specifically for the following. But I called evil this week to get an air shock recommendation for the Wreckoning and the guy said wait for DPX2 over the new ohlins, CC and X2.

I was under the impression that shocks with reservoirs wouldn't fit the Following. The frame has limited room due to the front derailleur mount, so the frame is shaped differently than any other Evil bike.

I have wondered this same thing since seeing it. Evil and Fanatic both told me it probably wouldn't fit, but haven't tried it yet either. I would really like to know for sure.

You can see how close the seat tube is to the shock due to the front derailleur mount design. Pretty tight.

I did see your comments and I own a Following and a tape measure as well. Have you actually tried fitting it the shock? Obviously not-so I ignored your comments.

Actually I didn't comment to offend you, I just asked and I don't find your attitude necessary. I am curious as everyone. Is there a reason why we can't have a discussion here without being courteous?

uh, not trying to start a fight, just wondering if the shock was shaped so that it fit the frame. The following is a wildly popular frame, so I would think that a company would want to get in on the aftermarket for it (cane creek inline coil). Not much out there for replacements with adjustable compression

I completely agree. It was intentionally designed/sized to be more compatible with a wide variety of frames. Let's hope it fits...

Unfortunately the DBCoil IL doesn't fit at the top mount (at least on the Wreckoning) because the top of the shock is too wide to fit between the linkage. I am pretty sure the Following is the same width or smaller, but I can check. I bought one for my Wreckoning but had to send it back and get the DBCoil CS instead. The DBCoil CS is fantastic.

I've been eyeing the X2 for my Wrecker but became curious about the DPX2. This is just what I wanted to hear. Do we know what it's PSI max will be? Hopefully higher than the 250 psi of the X2.

To be clear we were discussing trail shocks, he might recommend the X2 for dhing. I want a light weight trail/poppy shock and have a tuned coil for plowing.

The shock itself is sick. Very plush, but doesn't blow through. Climb switch has actual usable positions and the rebound knob access is great (vs old Float X). Running it my HT LT, not Following however. Different suspension between the two so can't comment if it fits or if it works well on a Following.

Dylan from Evil checked with the product manager. No piggy back shocks will fit in the Following V1.
