    Trans-Cascadia: Anybody in?

    Home - Trans-Cascadia

Looks like a blast! I signed up right away and am pretty excited to get out there. The trails in that part of the state are amazing.

That was an amazing race! For anybody that was on the fence, be sure to get in on this for next year. The organization was super solid, especially for a first-year event. The trails were amazing; a great mix of stuff in the outback and the best of the traditional Oakridge offerings. It looks like they are getting a ton of great press, so I won't link to anything here. I just wanted to offer my $.02 and say this: Believe the hype!

Wondering what trails you rode. Willing to share? From the coverage it looked to me like:

    1. Middle Fork
    2. Other trails around Timanogas (i.e. Indigo Lake, June Lake, Sawtooth Struggle)
    3. Lawler, Heckletooth
    4. Alpine

Yes. Hoo boy that was one for the ages. If I recall we also did Larison, hardesty, moon point, so many in 21 stages I can't even remember.

Day 4 for ATCA-Alpine, Tire Mountain, Cloverpatch, Lower Alpine.
Day 3 was a shuttle day; Lawler, Aubry, Moon Point, Heckletooth
Day 2 and 1 were all around Lake Timanogas, I don't know the names of thsoe trails.

Great riding all around. It was pretty raw out around the lake, which mixed nicely with the classic stuff directly out of Oakridge.

I can't say enough great things about the organization of this event. Rides stated on time, shuttles were quick, almost no waiting at the start of the stages, clear signage, amazing food: everything was very dialed, especially considering this was a first year event!
