Suggestions for enduro rig for riding in the northeast

I have a giant anthem sx for trail riding but want to look into getting an enduro bike so i can try some races. Live in NY so i would be going to PA, VT, NY, NJ mountains.

Is it possible to get a nice rig in the $3k range or am i looking at spending more?

    thanks

    AC

I would look used in the 135-165mm suspension range but you could get by with what you have.

I ride the same terrain and personally wouldn't go with anything less than 160mm as my Enduro race / ride for fun bike. especially since Enduro races are being held on a lot of the same trails I used to race DH...really rough tracks. some guys will say 150mm is fine, but I like as much travel as I can reasonably pedal around during the week. why not, right? you can get a very capable bike for $3K. maybe have a look at the YT Capra?

I've had my Meta AM V4.2 for about a week now and absolutely love it.
The TR seems like a great bike too just with shorter travel.
I went with the race edition of the AM V4.2 and it was $3500
