    Brian Head Enduro

This looks like it might be fun.

I wonder how you "get yourself back up" for the last three stages. There aren't really any good return routes other than the road are there? Are they routing folks back up the highway or do you arrange your own shuttle.

Anyone signed up? I like that they have a 50+ class. Tired of racing against all those kids.

Was just out there last weekend. It sounded fun until I was reminded of just how long and how hard the transition stages would be, both in altitude gained and the altitude you're riding at.

(Where the trail splits between Dark Hollow and Bunker Creek is at over 10,000 feet)

I've also heard that there will be cut off times for the transition stages.

    Registering this am.

My assumption (which could be totally wrong!!), is that you can shuttle bunker and dark hallow to brianhead, and then just pedal brianhead to the trailhead (which is about 1500vert each time).

the climbs out of bunker and dark hallow back to the top would be 3000+ and 5000+ If you had to the the whole thing. Would not be the end of the world to pedal those, and I would still do the race, but would be bringing 4" 29'er instead of 6.5" 650b!

Fortune favors the bold. See you there krob!

Hey Marshal! Thanks for the input. 8000+ ft of climbing would be more than enough for sure! Dang. Hope the new Endorphin has arrived by then.
Maybe I'll try the contact number for the folks putting it on.

Results are up. How'd it go? I was unable to go at the last minute. Dang! It looks like I had first place 50+ expert all wrapped up too.

It was a really, really good course. The one long transition from the end of the Dark Hollow stage was rough. The trail that took us back up was really primitive and had downed trees all over the place. But I did think it was a good mix of shuttle/lift vs pedal transitions.

The organization left a bit to be desired. There were several issues. If you looked on the results, the first stage didn't end up counting. The reason for this is because the person at the finish line hadn't even arrived by the time 4 or 5 guys had come through. The course marking weren't very good. I know several people had issues because of that. Other minor stuff too.

It has the potential to be a great event. Despite the issues, I'm really grateful they put it on. I just hope things can get sorted out for the future. I want to see it grow because it's fantastic enduro terrain.

Thanks for the report. Good to hear about the course. It sounded like it would be fun. I wondered what organizational pains they would have being a first time event. Figured something got goofed up on the first stage since they threw it out.

Hope they do it again next year.
