    BME/EWS Snowmass 2016

Ok, next on the BME schedule is the EWS stop in Snowmass. I haven't raced an enduro there yet.

What should we expect course-wise? I'm guessing there's more transfer pedaling than Keystone, but probably less than Santa Fe.

What are the tracks like, in general? I really am only familiar with the main DH track on the mountain that includes the waterfall that it looks like was used last year.

I haven't raced an EWS yet either, can anyone offer any information on how EWS compares to BME races?

    Is this thing on?!?! ;-)

Does anyone have info on what the courses were in years past? I'd be really interested in a course map or course description at least.

Do you think the EWS will change the courses much from prior BMEs?

What about bike setup? For example, for Keystone, many people opted for DH or heavier casing tires. Any special setup tips for Snowmass?

What's the soil like, generally? Crushed/decomposed gravel like Keystone or tackier dirt like Vail or Steamboat?

I'll be camping there (actually about 20 minutes away) and racing the Masters class hoping for redemption after Keystone. Who's racing? What category?

    Course was released last night.

    Stages:
    - Stage 1 Snowmass: Expresso; Two Creeks Downhill course
    - Stage 2 Buttermilk: West Buttermilk Tree Trails; Government to Tiehack
    - Stage 3 Aspen Mountain: Power of One Downhill
    - Stage 4 Snowmass Mountain: Vapor, Verde, Cross Mountain, Powerline, Starks
    - Stage 5 Snowmass Mountain: KAR to Luge
    - Stage 6 Snowmass Mountain : Bonzai Downhill

Looks like stages 2 and 3 are only open for practice Thursday. Gonna have to ride those blind. Stages 4-6 and Stage 1 are open on Friday.

If anybody has any intel on terrain they'd like to share that would be ace. I emailed Brandon at BME and he said full face was not required but recommended on a few stages.

One thing to note to the OP, maybe change the thread title to 2016 to get some faster responses.

    Haha! I never noticed!

Can't seem to figure out how to change the title of the thread. I changed the first post, but not the thread.
