    Help me Upgrade my Ripley

At 45, my endurance races are really a race against getting old. So, I'm not looking for the lightest rig in the world. I have a great frame in the Ibis Ripley and am looking to get it into the 23lbs range. My "bucket list" race is the BCBike race which I'm targeting in the next 3-5years.

Current build comes in around 25lbs sans Dropper which I'd love to have and may add back in if I drop weight elsewhere. Issue is a dropper will never get me to 23lbs unless I go extreme weight loss elsewhere. Tradeoffs.

I'm looking for suggestions for my next move.

    2015 Ibis Ripley Medium
    Works UK -1 Headset (130g)
RockShox Pike set at 130mm (1950g)
    Easton EA70 Stem (145g)
    Ibis Carbon Flat Bar (230g)
    Shimano XT M8000 Shifter (145g with cable/housing)
Shimano XT M8000 Rear Der (276)
    Shimano XT M8000 11x46 cassette (419g)
Shimano XT M785 Brakes (600G pair)
    Niner RDO Seatpost (215g)
    SQLab Ergowave Saddle $200g)
RaceFace Next SL Cranks with Wolftooth Oval Ring (450g)
    Shimano XT Race Pedals (319g)
Industry Nine Trail 24h Wheels (1570g)
Vittoria Mezcal 2.25 Tires (725g per tire)

    Thanks!

34 SC, XX1 non-Eagle 11 speed drivetrain, lighter brakes, lighter wheels, lighter pedals.

You could knock off 2lbs easily, maybe closer to 3.

25#, I wouldn't sweat it much to be honest. It's a big bike that does a lot of things really well (I almost bought it over our team deal pivot fwiw).

I'd go for the fork that duke suggested and snag an xd driver and e13 cassette for race day use only (they wear fast). Really marginal returns on the other stuff imo and if you have money burning a hole in your wallet, snag something used but more xc racy? ???

I had a blast at BCBR and am considering doing it again, perhaps I'll see ya there.
