Getting Back Jackets Left Hanging on Barriers at Leadville Start?

I will have no support, so I am wondering what happens to jackets that are left hanging on the barriers at the start. From looking at youtube vids, it seems that a number of jackets are left, possibly belonging to racers with no support:

Is there a way to get the jacket back after the race?

    Much thanks in advance.

Get something from the thrift store so it wont be missed.

I already have a XXXL (altho I'm much smaller) cheap walmart sweatshirt that I wear to cx races...but I'm thinking of splurging and spending the cash by getting something like a used swim parka for $40. No need to have a pre-rideable jacket like in cx races, so a swim parka seems to fit the bill for LV. There is a leadville podcast and one of the hosts mentioned about how he seems to get his jacket back....

I would just pin a note on the inside with you name, the race and race number on it.

Thrift shop jacket sounds like a great idea.

Another idea is one a runner suggested to me: find some old socks or buy new (cheap) ones and cut the toes open to use as arm and knee warmers. They can be ditched at an aid station later and you’ll never miss them.
