I can't wait to get mine! I won one in a competition! looks like I'll have to wait a while while they churn out some more. Rumour has that all of Ellsworth's current stock is already accounted for. I bet US bike shops will get stock long before these babies arrive on our shores in distant Australia!

Oh well at least I don't have to pay for it!

    Black Epiphany

These pictures just about brought a tear to my eye...I ordered my Epiphany 2 weeks ago, in time to get in on the 1st batch that will be distributed. With that said, its hard seeing other bikes that I could have right now, but with a delivery time of December or January, I think this frame should be well worth the wait.

I was told that I could (and did) order the Epiphany in black, but I haven't heard or seen one image or comment anywhere else online to substantiate this offer - I hope I'm not gettting my black bike hopes up for nothing!

So black is a color option for the Epiphany ? I reckon black done with the same streaking will look just AWESOME!!!! The Blue also looks Fan-bloody-tastic!!! What other colors were available ?

    Hi Grant

I'm in Sydney in the Eastern burbs! The comp I won was the AMB (Aus Mountain Bike) magazine Dream Bike giveaway. Never felt so lucky in my life! I usually never win anything!
When I got the call I thought one of my mates was playinga really bad practical joke on me!

So where are you now ?

The Epiphany will come in the 3 colors: mixed blue, black, and hunter green.
I went with the black (is there any other choice??)

Is the black just a matte/shiny black finish or have they used the same streaking effect as the blue ?

    NON-frilly Black...

    Greg-
The anodized black will have a semi shiny finish (no streaking), they got away from shot peening the frames which always seemed to leave a mess of little shot beads rolling around inside the frames. I personally like the shot peening, but I not going to complain, at least black is offered...I'm not up for all the frilly colors.
Just a couple of weeks left and then I'll be able to post pictures and a ride report for you.

    Tough Choice!

I would usually opt for the understated good looks of plain black but that trippy blue and white
paint job has me struggling to make a choice. I might have to get my wife to choose! (she'll probably insist I buy matching shoes, helmet, shorts, socks...... )

No doubt, the blue/black dripping effect is intense, and I applaud Ellsworth's vision to create something new, infact if they offered it in a black & grey drip color scheme, I'd be all over it. But, as you head down that road of personal preference, I just know that every time that i have bought a bike (or even a car) in a color, such as a blue or a green , after a couple of months I always wish that I had made the purchase in a black or a silver.

I actually hope that EVERYONE gets the blue/black combo, so my bike remains unique, so yes, with that said there's your answer - no need to ask your wife, go ahead and get the blue/black drip...But post pics!!
