80mm travel SID fork on the Truth?

Can you or would you use an 80 mm travel fork on an 18" Truth? I am running a Skareb platinum at the moment, but have been offered a bargain deal on a new Rock Shox SID world cup fork..

Would the bike be unbalanced, not enough etc??

Get a fox 100x - Unless you are the ultimate mega weight weenie - go for the sid.

The performance of the fox is significantly better than the sid.

I've run a SID World Cup on my 18" Truth for the last three years and it's been fine - I think that the axel to crown distance is not that much greater for most 100mm forks, so it doesn't affect the bike balance that much. I think that a 100mm fork will give the bike more downhill legs so am opting for the Reba World Cup for 2006 - the SID is now on my Enlightenment which is proving to be great winter fun ;-)
