You can help Ellicottville trail builders

I ride a lot of weekends in Ellicottville, but the trailbuilding is weekdays so I miss it. Dennis at Ellicottville Bike and Bean asked me to vote for them (see below ) and I would like to do more by getting other possible E'ville riders from mtbr EC to do the same.,,

    EMAIL FROM DENNIS AT EB&B

I am going to cut right to the chase here...
We are finalist in a competition to win $33,000 in trail building funds! Bell Helmets is giving the prize away to one trail project in the east. THE ONLY WAY FOR US TO WIN IS BY POPULAR VOTE.
How do you vote?... Go to the website http://www.bellhelmets.com/bellbuilt/ and vote for Holiday Valley Ski Resort Trail. You will have to select Holiday Valley, enter your email and then click on the link Bell Helmets sends to your email. Please vote today! Voting started May 5th and stays open until May 18th, 2 weeks of voting.

Can you please forward this list to your friends and family? We estimate we will need 10,000 votes to win.

    Voted!

I love those trails. I can stay there with my daughter and wife and sneak away to do some biking. In fact, after a stay there last year when I rented a HT it rekindled my desire to mountain bike...have since bought a mtn bike and have been enjoying the trails again. Thanks Ellicottville!

here's a link to WNYMBA and what they do. The events calendar isn't up but in summertime there is a great MTB festival, six hours of power and lots of weekly races. For anyone that hasn't ridden in E'ville, it is about 2 hours from Hamilton, and really great single track.

I will spread the word on this. A bunch of us from London go there every fall. Last year I forgot my shoes one day and went to buy some from Dennis but he had none in stock. The guy let me borrow his personal shoes for the day not knowing if I was a serial killer or pastor.
I walked out of his store pretty impressed.

that doesn't surprise me because he has often dropped what he was doing to put a bike up on the stand to adjust a derailleur or whatever when someone was on there way to the trails, and often didn't charge anything. Very passionate about MTB'ing.

I voted a few times. WNYMBA rocks and deserves the win.
Holiday Valley is a great place for a day trip and if you're staying for a weekend they built some great trails at Sprague Brook Park.

    Bell Built Grant

Hi! My name is Jeff & I’m Vice President of WNYMBA, the Western New York Mountain Bicycling Association.

I’m hoping that you (and everyone you know) might be able to support WNYMBA’s bid for a $33K “BellBuilt” grant … in fact, I’m pretty much BEGGING here. At stake is an epic flow trail that will welcome all riders, kids and adults alike – please help us get it built!

If you have any connection to the Western NY area or the northeast... or just want to help a great club win this grant, we would greatly appreciate your support.

You can vote once per email address, so if you are like me and have multiple email accounts, please vote once from each address. Our project is titled “Holiday Valley Ski Resort Trail” on the Bell Built Site

Help support the Northeast and vote for the Holiday Valley Flow Trail. Then come join us and ride it once we win!

    Thanks!
Jeff Smith - Vice President – WNYMBA
