What are your favourite Provincial Parks that have riding close by?

Looking for a new place to camp, hopefully with some riding nearby. I don't mind driving a bit out of the way.

I understand Pinery has a ~14 km trail, sounds pretty tame from what I've heard.

Awenda has a few trails, nothing crazy but I did enjoy them. (not a beach person so it was a nice break)

Algonquin has Minnising (no comment lol) and the rail trail.

Am I missing anything here? Would love to find a new spot.

Not sure why you are specifying a PP, but Buckwallow has a KOA right next door

Yeah I'm dumb - these two great choices should have been obvious to me, I ride at both spots a few times each year. Looking for something new to me.

Bass Lake PP has Copeland Forest and SCMBC Trails nearby.

While not a Provincial Park, Haliburton Forest has some excellent campsites and a pretty rugged mountain bike trail that runs through the forest.

MacGregor Point PP is close to alot of the "MTB The Bruce" trails.

Arrowhead has a "designated" MTB trail plus the kids have created a lot of paths/trails that are OK for riding. Not difficult but a nice pace while camping.

    Minnesing is being cleared!!

The overgrown Minnesing Trail in Algonquin is being cleared ...finally! Per the AO Bikes fb page Polly's Pitch is just completed and Callighen's Corner should be done in the near future. Once this is complete you can camp at Cannisbay and there is a connector trail to Minnesing.

I'm at Craigleith right now. I've got Blue Mountain, 3 Stage and Kolapore nearby.

Kettle Lakes Provincial Park. But you'll have to drive 7 hours north to Timmins

A nice article just popped up in my facebook Get Out There : Next Weekend: Timmins, Ontario

We were there 2 weeks ago and had a good time experiencing many of the activities mentioned

Was I missing something? I was up there two weeks ago riding Hershey Lake and all I found was wide double track with crushed stone and some small single track that lead to a burnt out shack and a bunch of garbage strewn about.. I worked it into a work trip and was in Sudbury the day before and Walden was WAY better but had I driven up to Timmins with the intention of biking single track I would have been greatly disappointed.

Yup you missed something. I had fun on those trails. You just have to know how to have fun and utilize what is there. Perhaps improving your pumping and jumping skills will help? I find trails like this fun to hack around on platforms.
