Two On The Trot: Drew Wins Simpel Again

For the second year in a row, Joyride's adopted son, Drew Bezanson comes out on top at Simpel Session. Maybe they should rename the street park in his honour...

    Stupid wonky embed code...

That is sick...the North Face commercial that is.
I've watched it 6 times trying to get the vid to work.
    I suck at the internet.

I had the same problem with the original embed code from extreme.com. You're better off just going directly there...

And I know I've posted them before, but here are a couple of Drew's videos from Joyride.

Did I mention I ALMOST learned how to drop in at the Women's Weekend? And I went about six feet up that wall ride that Drew pauses at the top of. Proud moments. Joyride's thinking of having an old-guy-intro-to-BMX night too!

I was never into "street" BMX as a kid so I was glued (from a distance) to that clinic on the weekend. That coach was great. The stuff he pointed out made so much sense and it was cool to see the basic lines in the park. The main thing that keeps me out of there is a fear of getting in people's way.

I'd so be up for a geezer's night!

Tsk. That was more of a "park" clinic.

Here's our awesome coach in action:

Those are awesome videos. Carmen was there when Drew was riding at Joyride a couple of times back in January, but was too busy working on her own jumping to watch much. Anyone who is FB friends with Rick Meloff (and really, who isn't?) should check out his photos of Drew at Joyride as well.

How old do we have to be to be a "geezer"?

Drew shows he can kill it on a mountain bike just as well as he can on a BMX. Insanity.

Oh, that's just ridiculous. In the comments, there's speculation that it's the first time anyone's done a double pendulum (quad can can) on a mountain bike.

He wants to backflip a road bike next. People are trying to figure out a wheel set that would stand up to it.
