    Trails in Toronto

Hi, I am kinda new to Mountain biking. Are there any places in toronto to ride, or beginers clubs. My primary ride buddy is on rollerblades so Paved is better.

This is kinda off topic but ever since I turned 18 Biking and being active is lame (not to me!). So I now only have one buddy that likes being active. The rest just "Chil" and do jack **** all day.

18 or not, fitness does seem to be lame to the 'mainstream'...one quick look at the obesity rate will tell you that. your buddies will piss and moan when you head out for a ride but when you get back a few hours later, they will still be on the couch and you won't have missed a bloody thing!

...oh sorry can't help riding downtown...

Try the Don Trail. It's all paved and starts up around Edwards Gardens (Leslie & Lawrence) and basically runs parallel to the DVP right down to lakeshore where you can go any direction you want from there.

    Have fun.

Ride and Blade the waterfront trail. The section around Ash Bridges and east is usually the best to see some fine females.

don't forget the humber trail...links with the waterfront at the humber river...all paved up to eglinton & scarlett road (takes a bit of a jog after the south humber park, but starts up again behind stonegate plaza)

    We did the don yesterday!!

It was great. First we parked the car in the place and had to bike 7km to the don trail. Uphill I might add. We then proceeded to do the entire trail from leslie and egligton up to the beaches.

Once we got to the beaches we bought some towels and took a dip in the public pool. It was an amazing end to a great day.

Unfortunatly we where both incredably dehydrated and maybe a long ride such as this was a bad idia on such a hot day.
