Tobermory, Manitoulin Island, & the Mississagi Strait [OT] [o]

Camping trip looping from home in Muskoka over to Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula, ferry to Manitoulin Island for some great camping out on the north west land's end, then homeward via Espanola, Sudbury, Parry Sound etc. We left the bikes at home, preferring to hike instead. Some pics...

    Great pictures.
What the heck were you making in that frying pan?
I was just thinking the other day that with the popularity of pickup trucks, I'm surprised there isn't a resurgence of pickup bed campers. Haven't seen one in ages.

Its one of the PC Blue Menu 'Sides" - that one is called Black Bean, Quinoa, and Peppers, but I like them all. Added in stir fried tofu ...my spouse has been vegetarian for ~35 yrs.
I see them around but agreed ...not as representative of the number of pickup trucks on the road. I think an F150 crew cab with long box and a truck camper on board would be an awesome combo for a couple that is into cycling. With the flat floor in the back and the seats folded up you could easily store the bikes there and a bunch of other stuff. And the truck campers are pretty sweet now with a lot of different designs/takes on the concept! I'm not a 'truck guy" so doesn't make sense for me, but for someone that already has the truck its perfect IMO.
    Thanks for appreciating,
    Cheers ...BCD

Great pics and thanks for sharing your vacation adventure BCD.

I've been vegetarian for over 35 years and vegan the last 3 years...my hubby loves cooking for me as well

Looks like you had awesome weather as well. We're just returning from a trip in the Arctic Watershed with riding stops in Temagami, Cobalt and Timmins and had a blast. Nothing like northern fresh air and blueberries
