I'm going and hoping I can test ride a small and medium racer 100x and that's about it.

Two days at the bike show? I can't stand more than two or three hours there but I guess it's up to you. BMX compitiion is cool to watch if you like that.

Good luck with that... I really doubt you'll find a built up one, let alone in two sizes.

I know but a person can dream. The bike is really popular this year so I'm HOPING to at least see either the medium or small frame there it would be a plus if it was built up too.

What kind of deals are there?

Deals..

The shopping is good if you get there early.. Otherwise the 100,000 other people looking for deals have picked through it..

Some of the dealers will have stuff at 1/2 off to clear it out, and stuff like tubes and tires are always going for a good price.

looking to pick up a new bike

I'm am looking to scoop up a new bike. When is it best to get there; i'm getting earliest as possible, or does it really matter on big ticket items like bikes?

if you can take half a day off work and get there when it opens..even with big-ticket items like bikes often it is the best sizes and models that go first as there are plenty of people looking for them..

I'll try to head down on the Friday as well, was 10th or so in the lineup last year when they opened the door

I'm looking for a new helmet this time around, maybe a second pair of shorts & some socks. I might also pick up a Blue season's pass but it'll depend greatly on what they have to offer over last year. I'm in the market for a new rear shock but the one I'm planning on buying won't be at the show.

The show is BIG, and there is enough there to hold your interest for two days. Hey... if you like bikes, you`ll love the show. As far as deals go - through personal experience I have found after attending for 4 years that there are no really great deals. The best buys are tires, handlebers, accessories and the odd bit of clothing. Sometimes rims are cheap. If you`re buying a full bike, the fall show has blow out deals that are better then the spring show.

Same as last year?
Only good deals I see when I go is first day, sometimes 2nd has ok deals as well and 3rd well everyone is usually trying to sell stuff cheap but by then all the good stuff is usually gone

I forget what store it was but they had a few of the same items from 1-2 years ago...and still asking a good chunk of change for the useless things!
