    rode ravenshoe last night...

despite the rain earlier in the week the right side (on entrance) was in good shape. they've built up some cool stuff since last year. left side (don't know the trail names) looked pretty bad - checked it out and all the low spots were mud. turned back after about 2 minutes. we'll need a few days of warm weather before it dries out.

    thanks for posting up conditions

I might hit it up on Monday depending on rainfall this weekend.

I've heard about the new stunts, lower ones are solid but some of the higher ones are poorly built so be careful. If I ride it I'll post some pics.

I rode Ravenshoe last weekend right after the rain. the only trails that are ever wet there are Cry Baby and Stinky. These are the two trails closest to the parking lot. Once you go through McCowan, skip Cry Baby and go left into the pine forest.

I swear, the rest of Ravenshoe is dry even DURING a downpour. the base is all sand, so the water just sucks right in. We rode about an hour after the rain, and "One Gee", "Big Meany", "Pines" and "Bell Ringer" were BONE dry.

There is lots of new man made stuff now as well.

first time ever, followed the red arrows around and it was sick worth the hour and half drive from hamilton, liitle wet in the one section but the pines and cry baby and the other one was killer almost 3hours of riding almost killed myself on some of the elevated stuff, i'll be going back within the week. thanks for the new location

    glad you liked it!

Not sure how much I'll be riding there this summer, I'll be dropping an '04 Super T on my ride in the next month or so for riding at Blue ...

If you had fun there, you should try out the trails at Bayview Stoufville(sp), more elevation and lots of fun (be careful on the stunts)

take 404 North to Stoufville exit, turn left (west) and drive for a couple of kms until you drop down in a gully with a street on the left and a fence on the right (If you hit Bayview you've gone too far).
Turn left on the street and park (houses are freakin' huge!!) enter the trails to the left side of the fence (should walk it since it's steep and there's re-bar poking out of the ground there) and enjoy.
