    Oakville Area

    Hey everyone,

Just bought a new trek 4500. First real bike and i live in Oakville. Anyone know of some good trails around the area? Even if they are in a near by city.

    Thanks

    Oakville rides

    in and around Oakville;

    Joshua Creek--Winston Churchill & Lakeshore
    Heritage Trails--Upper middle and Negawaya(sp?)
    Erin Mills loop--Dundas & Erin Mills(Erindale SS)
    Erindale Park--Dundas and Mississauga Rd

There are plans for trail links to all of the above mentioned, you can do it now with some small road links.

    Hilton Falls
    Dundas Valley
Kelso (look into all ski resorts for summer access...most are getting into it)

    or for those day trippers....

Terra Cotta to Hamilton (90% rail trail)

    Cheers

New to the forum and also from oakville, been riding XC for 3 seasons but would like to do more XC/DH riding this summer due to a work lay off. I would like to hook up with local fellow riders in the area to see all those trails mentioned above.

    Burlington/Waterdown!

If you're on the west end of Oakville, or even if you're not I guess, you could head into Burlington for the trails connecting here and Waterdown. Lots of singletrack, some North Shore stunts, some good climbing and descents.

I'm not great at giving directions in this area but this thread should help you out:
