I'll be up on Sunday as a commissar to keep you animals inline.
Looks like a similar course to last year with an "easier" second climb

Note to self. Don't throw gel packs in the transition area or Jeff will kill you.

Hahah. Forgot about that. Yes, no littering. Unless you're in the feedzone I suppose...maybe.

In...After a DNF due to mechanical at Woodnewton, just looking forward to a nice clean race. Weather looks great for an awesome day. Good luck to all!
A bad day on the bike is better than a good day doing anything else...

Not racing this one, but with the beautiful weather, likely gonna head up and spectate, supports some friends and thrown candy bar wrappers at thedumpopinion's feet. Maybe an empty beer bottle as well.

How come old geezers in Sport category don't get to experience Exit Wound?

And since I am asking silly questions, will they again start all those categories (40, 45, 50, 55 and 60) all together. At Woodnewton they did it that way and I think there were about 80 riders, me being dead last (arrived last second).

You can always upgrade your category to a younger age group...

I was surprised at the new 10:00 start course changes at woodnewton. I guessthey took out alot of the fun stuff. Nothing at woodnewton was overly technical.

I will be there to pre ride at 10. Missed the mansfield race last year.

After years of getting trashed in single speed category, I want to enjoy a more "gentle trashing" with racers my own age (I am 52). So I shall do without exit wound.

Disappointed that they dumbed down the 10am course so much.

I cracked my collar bone on the last drop of exit wound when I clipped that tree on the left right after the drop - shawn really needs to put a mat over that tree like they do in DH races - it's going to claim some carnage this weekend

emergency vehicle was for a car that drove off the embankment there - guy flew about 30 feet but thankfully landed right side up

Must have been one of our fellow riders on the way up for pre-riding doing a little practice for Exit Wound.

Did they split you up? I can't remember.
The reason everyone was together at Woodnewton was there were not a lot of pre-registers so he put everyone together and then he got a lot of day-of sign ups so it ended up being more people than ideal.

No we all started together again. But they realize it is ridiculous and will split next time.

The 40-44 & 45-49 started the wave ahead of us old guys in 50+. Sean said he may split our wave next time, we were a total of 38.

Another great race. I misses this race last year so it was basically new to me. Had a bit of a crash 5 min into my pre ride, that konda messed with my cornering confidence.

Was able to get over it abit by race day. That second climb was a tough onefor me.
Was really happy as it was my first sport class podium.
