perfect conditions - rode couple of laps on the 8hrs course and then did gnarly... didnt want to hit radical with half the fuel tank... my new ride felt like cadillac with it's 5 inches of travel... i can see it being more fun on all mountain rides with my buddies, than my 4 inches of travel, light bike...

my buddy on his ass landed just like that when he saw drops and was unsure of the line... he leaned against the fence that broke off under his weight and he just went over it... it was funny...

here is my new ride... my first 5" travel bike - it is a lot of fun.. the head tube is slacker than most 5" travel bikes, but not slack enough to lose responsiveness in corners... high BB is phenomenal, i can clear some crazy logs and rocks without even touching them with crank rings...

XO trigger shifters are sweeeeet.... significant improvement over X9, which i thought were better than XTR 952...

you took it like a champ...it was a stacked race for me and the fact that you and arek both lined up says something for you...that bloody skinny character made a bloody charge at the end..

btw sean wants to make some sort of event like that a weekly thing. ideas for next week are welcome.

i didnt want that skinny freak

lined up with us anyway... kinda spoiled the theme... he didnt catch you, did he? it appeared that both arek and you lined the climb up perfectly. By the time i realized i was in to small a gear - it was too late for anything...

i was thinking about something more fun and less like real competition... like climbing the "green monster" in granny on the biggest cog - that would be cadence galore but more fun and less "competition"...

for example, sprint finish 50m with one leg

or ride between 2 pylons with arms crossed on the handlebar

or something along these lines... of course, from time to time, it could be "blast up the green monster"...

i hear you. we can do that 'stuff' now. truth is there was so much 'test' flowing online i thought a good blow up competition would be best to get it all out...since you insisted that i participate...well it had to be an event i could win. all in all i would say the green climb worked, amazing how much harder it is to dislike someone in person.

and hell all our 'fans' seemed to enjoy it too...next time we should get our fan clubs to bring banners.

i have had some talks with sean about adding a 'dumb' event (like that) to the tail end (of every tuesday) to make the night a bit more...personal(?) for the riders and a little more interesting for the spectators. of course following last night's sean suggested a winner stick kinda deal. we shall see.

Awww Man, I missed the race off, that would have been fun to see. I don't actaully ride the Tuesday Night series, but I happenned to be there and did one lap of the course.

However I did see the Jones which is awesome to see in person.

I had fun with the climb event too. I could definitely get used to the Green Monster climbs... . . ..... .. ................. NOT!

Well, looks like something good DID come out of this whole online "test" flow - we started what could be the beginning of weekly after-race "fun" competition, whatever it ends up being. I imagine it would be a different thing every Tuesday, as was suggested here. Maybe save some swag from the after-race draw for the winner of these new events.
