    Invictus Games

The Invictus Games National Flag Tour stopped at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre today. It is one of the the last stops before the Games. My colleague and I attended the ceremony. Great weather, thoughtful and emotional speeches from leaders, games supporters and athletes. We signed the flag and met some interesting participants. One of the athletes participating in the cycling event talked about how his involvement in cycling and taking part in the games helped him with PTSD

Stephan Moreau, an Invictus competitor in track and field, cycling and indoor rowing in 2014 and 2016, said the Games changed his life.
I joined the Navy in 2000, and in 2004 was involved in an accident that left me with PTSD, the Victoria, B.C. resident said. I didnt talk to anyone about it for six years.
After seeking help in 2010, Moreau said sports helped him heal.
What I find is, when I compete or train, I just shut off my mind for some reason, Moreau said. And for somebody who suffers some trauma, its really difficult to not think or just try to forget.
Its in our head all the time, but when I race or train, its not there.

It's a great initiative and brilliant it's taking off. I remember when it started, I never thought it would get so big.

Harry and William are pretty popular here in the UK. Charles, not so much.
