I haven't for a few years and some of the group may go Sunday,
    Anything new Trails, Features?
We haven't done it much since the 24hrs of Kokanee days.

    Thanks for any updates

Other than a name change from Hardwood Hills to Hardwood Ski and Bike, I don't think there has been any major changes since the 24 Hour race days. Well there removed a huge chunk of the deck and the first hill along the double track leading to Serious, Cranked, and Fun has been lowered a bit. This new grade has been re-sculpted in the past week to improve water runoff and now has a big diagonal bump in it.

The recent rains have helped the trails out quite a bit, but there are some very sandy areas in there. It's like the layer of packed topsoils dried up and blew away during the drought leaving the exposed loose sandy areas.

The old trail called Tight and Twisty has been renamed Sidewinder now and the difficulty rating has been bumped up too. Some of the other trails have been rerouted to add a new trail called Cranked. Cranked is a shorter intermediate trail.

Radical is still just as fun as every other year, a few new routing on it, they put boneshaker at the beginning of it and the new under over they built for the Canada cup course is at the start as well.

Sidewinder is still one of my favorite trails out there seeing as it has coffee run in it. If any of your friends are familiar with Copland and know the trails that might be a good option if you are making the trek down to Barrie. But as far as well maintained and something for everybody Hardwood is the place to be.

Hardwood is just ride we do every few or more(like 10) years more for old times sake. We do get to the 8th line and Copeland as well, but hardwood not so much.

    Again thanks for the updates

We road Hardwood this weekend it was as always lots of fun a bit more climbing than we have here so good for the legs. 5 years at least but most of the Radical was still in memory. Did sidewinder as well (tight&twisty of old) that's all we had time for. Worth the days drive we all enjoyed it.
