    Halburton Riding? Kennisis Loop?

    Hi all,

The S.O will be staying in Haliburton, on Kennisis Lake, this weekend. She is wondering if she will be able to ride any trails?

The trails at Sir Sams don't open until May 21st (still a fair bit of snow until then). The trail passes for Halliburton Forest are $15 a day, but again, still quite snowy. Bring (or rent) a pair of cross country skis for a cardo workout :-)

Still lots of snow up this way, plus 3 ft of ice on the lakes. Trail riding doesn't get good most areas here until late Apr - early May, example Buckwallow doesn't open until May 1.
So as stated above, road or sled trails will be your riding options. Sled trails should be pretty good as temps are getting down -10 C zone at night which tightens things up nicely!
Get out early though if riding a mtbike because temps climb to plus side by mid to late morning now. But if you have a fatbike you have much more leeway
and the sled trail riding should be pretty darn good

If you're not getting a cut of Ontario sales on Pugsleys, you should be!

I have to agree with you on that. And while were at it, how about a company bike (fat, of course)?
