May the [email protected]@rds rot in hell (or under biggie's plus-sized butt-cheek - same diff). I hope you had the bikes fully insured, in which case an upgrade might take the sting out of this.
    Strava made me do it....

Long story but no insurance. Still no sign of the bikes.
I left British Columbia a month ago to move here and spend the rest of my life with my childhood sweetheart, an avid biker. We've been apart for 35 years and we both decided it was time. I gave away everything I owned (house, bikes, bike tools, trail tools, car, kids, wife), put one bike in a box and mailed it to myself here and then jumped on a plane. My lady and I were just going to ride around & build trails till we died of old age (not that long for me). Within 2 weeks, some asswipe stole our bikes before I even had a chance to find a job and build a decent lock up for the bikes. They were only cable locked in a shed in the back yard.

On a much better note, I posted a "look out for these bikes" on the ShortHills Cycling Club forum. Within a week, the members here had offered me, a total stranger, the loan of 2 bikes and a membership in the club.

I can't say enough about the welcome I have received here.

    Thank You ShortHills Cycling Club.

The loaned bikes are in the living room. You gotta love a lady who thinks that's a good idea!

Wow, that"s a bold move, TN, giving up BC fpr Welland!
Have you had a look around the local pawn shops? I'm in Hamilton, my nephew's bike got stolen, he found it in a downtown pawn shop the next day, had to buy it back.
I'd also keep an eye on Kijiji, Craigslist and Pinkbike ads.

You don't move to Welland, you end up there.

Thanks for the shout-out TN. Hope we get to meet up soon.
