    Gah, GT in ontario...

    Hi

I have a difficult task ahead of me i was wondering if anyone could help.

Im searching for a GT STS frame, its old, its something i regret selling a long time ago. But where are there good places to find used bikes in the Toronto area? I need physical shops that i could talk to, internet doesnt seem to be helping me out..

I know of bike zone and gears in mississauga, but maybe there is a great place to go for used stuff?

That was my first ever mountain bike. Boy I thought the looks were so cool.

I haven't seen too many around of late. You may want to try eBay/Craigs list, as well as Silent Sports swap meet.

    Good luck

    Collingwood

There is a shop in Collingwood I can't remember the name but itis right across the street from the Skies and Bikes. I have seen a GT sts frame hanging on their wall I don't know if its for sale or not but I would call them.

Bigbore, I think you're referring to the Thermoplastic one. I actually owned an STS too and cracked the headtube clean off. Thankfully, I wasn't going to fast and didn't get injured. I wouldn't recommend one nowadays for any type of aggressive riding

That being said... I saw one just last week at Spokes 'n Slopes in Milton collecting dust and i'm sure you could get it for a good deal. Just tell Matt the owner that Phil sent you I believe they also have an aluminum LTS frame as well.

thanks for the tip! i am thinking of the sts thermoplastic, i also know about the problem with the early ones

Id like to get the bike out of pure nostalgia, use it for the odd run out, ive seen some people have managed to upgrade those bikes and really make them into some decent all purpose built machines... ha just what i need another project.
