    Fork oil change

I don't think this could have gone worse if I tried. Icing on the cake was losing one of the nuts that goes on the bottom of the fork. FML. Hope it is easy to find one of those locally.

Short story - the first issue was the old fork oil melting the container I drained it into and spreading out across the living room floor. It went downhill from there.

What kind of fork? Might be able to find you a foot nut. Although, it should still theoretically be somewhere in the living room.

It is a 2011 Fox F125RL open bath fork (F120RL but custom build for Giant). I've gone around the entire room with a flashilight, even lifting the couch off the floor and pulling the cushions. I even went through the garbage item by item. I can't understand it, checked the HVAC vents, even the bookcase LOL.

I took a fork apart about 2 years ago to change the oil. Oil everywhere plus its still apart waiting to be put back together. I've learned my lesson. Some things should just be left to the professionals.

    Re: Fork oil change

I think it is fairly straight forward but poor working conditions and lack of planning caught me out.

Cycle Solutions came through for me. I had two seperate people from the two different locations both reach out to me for slightly different issues. Any shop that participates in the community not only on the trail, but online as well, gets top marks in my books. I actually just bought shoes from them and the service in the store was top notch, but this takes it to another level. Thanks guys!
