    Dundas Valley Native Hunt

Crap, was planning to bail early and hit Dundas Valley before dark. Looks like today's the only decent weather for a while.
Then remembered the native hunt - most of the headwaters trail is closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between November 13 and December 20, 2012 and January 7 January 17.

    Guess it's the rail trail.

There's LOTS of other stuff to ride. Hit the ridge off Monarch. It's a hoot and in fine shape.
Please enjoy seeing this terrible collection of me - something wonderful is about to happy.

Was looking on Google and noticed they have a new trail marked in Dundas Valley - new on Google that is.
It's the Spring Creek trail - didn't even know it existed. Sure beats the rail trail, great cardio ride.
Starting at the top of the Radial trail and then the rail trail to Sanctuary Park, up and down the Spring Creek trail, hit a few side trails worked out to about 25k, lots of climbing.

Haven't been on the ridge off Monarch this year, don't think of it. No convenient parking.
I must buy a parking permit this year. Make it a lot easier to get to Christie.

Saw several groups of joggers out with flashlights and headlamps, must be a new thing.
