    Blue Mtn XC series

Anybody attend the XC series which started tonight?

or previous years for that matter?

    whats the vibe like?
I dont race, but i'm competitive.....would it compare to the Icebreaker held at Hilton Falls? I thought that single 12km+ lap was a blast a few years ago...id roll in teh 35 year young age group...

    cheers

    Icebreaker was held in Uxbridge

regrettably for the last time in 2010. It is no more...

Hilton Falls event is called All Weather Challenge, held every spring - and the 2011 edition was just like the name implies, weather challenged. Cold and wet, but immensely fun. Combination of double track and technical rocky singletrack... Awesome...

Never tried the XC series at BM but would like to hear opinions... I am sure there is awesome XC stuff at BM on top of DH trails... Too bad it is too far away for me, but can make it a point to try one of these races...

worth checking out. Has some good things going for it. The blue staff are trying hard to make the XC riding better every day. Get there early, reg process is abit of a pain the first night and at this point you have to allow yourself time to get to top for start. (gondola) Probably my biggest challange is arriving at 6 oclock for a 7 oclock weekly race. Riding at the top is fun, some hard climbing that is in my opinion alittle much for a weekly. But again, they are making steps to change this.

The bar after is probably the best selling point
    Check it out forsure
