Albion Hills Bolton, Ontario. Anyone ever seen any black bears there?

Was riding part of the red trail on Wednesday May 6, 2015 about 30 minutes into our ride, I saw what looked like a baby black bear cub? it slowly walked into the bushes and never looked back, this is the first time I have ever noticed a bear around, just wondering if anyone else has ever came across one?

Certainly possible - one wandered into Burlington a couple of years ago, only 3-4 km from downtown.

I remember that, was pretty funny. Imagine if he found his way to the Agreement Forest or even into Dundas Valley! It took those regional police 10 shots to put that bear down, nobody knew what to do. The MNR wouldn't come out to assist...

Never seen one there. If I get a chance I'll ask the staff if they hear any reports.

Yes there is more than likely a black bear wandering around near Albion Hills. It is a rural area like north of Kingston. If you talk to farmers and others who work in the woods will tell you they see signs every now and then of bear activity. They keep to themselves and are not a problem.

Now in rural areas Coyotes are more of a concern.
